DISCUSSION
1 Sandra Walsh presented a proposed secondary sign for"Bikeway Cycle' 1 -5" high 4'-0"long to be mounted
directly to corner of building facing bike path. The Committee felt secondary sign is appropriate and would suggest
to surface mount and center on building facade facing bike path.The Committee also agreed the secondary sign
to be the same size as original and mounted 10'-0"from grade. However,the-Committee felt that this sign was
directly related to the bike path use and does not set a precedent for other businesses adjacent to the bike path to
install signage. In closing,the Committee felt strongly that the DAC and Bikeway Committee should notify the
Building Department of the encroachment of business and neighbors on the bike path.
2.John Frey informed Committee HDC approved site improvement at Co-Operative Bank facing Bike Path;
improvements to include:
4 benches
2bike racks
1 water faucet/water fountain
-Removal of existing chain link fence and replace with 24'x 8'white board fences.
-2 wall mounted light fixtures
The Committeequestioned placement of surface mounted fixtures and suggested ceiling mounted for even light
distribution to avoid glare and to improve security. Carl Oldenberg to follow-up with Kathleen Forest of Co-
Operative Bank.
