Kathy Green Tom Coffman Mta Hulsizer, Carl Oldenberg, Steven Hurley (66riLii) BOARD OF APPEALS A) Bill Smiley of Barlow Signs - present Kitchen, Etc. signage, " Kitchen' and 'Etc. are interior light. " Kitchen sign complies with 3' height however Etc' is 2' higher. DAC recommends approval of signage as presented. John Frey suggests to review Board of Appeals minutes regarding original approval regarding the foot path to Locke Village property. B) Lexington Arts and Crafts - sign relocation and renewal of temporary sign requested. DAC recommends approval of signage as presented. C) Pat Barbieri exploring the possibility of setting up auto repair shop at 101 Woburn Street. Existing building presently occupies small office and two bays Pat outlined possibility of additional five bays. John questions curb cuts locations. Pat indicated in the process of studying best locations. Betty Eddison suggests to be friendly neighbor to bike path. Tom Coffman suggested to review Dixxon report and zoning by- law in regards to screen of parking lots and signage guidelines. BENCHES Steven Hurley to contact Lynne Wilson regarding fitness path benches. Tennis/ playfield / basketball. DAC to review possible alternate bench locations as well as appropriate design for benches along Worthen Road. Tom Coffman suggested to form a study group to explore possibility of other town donated projects. Kathy Green proposes a bench at intersection of Marrett Road / Prospect Hill Road adjacent to bus stop. BIKEWAY BRIDGE Hubert Murray reported three bridges are now in final design with construction to begin in spring. Arlington bridges constructed shall be made from precast concrete and granite. The Lexington bridge shall be slightly larger and concrete beams will span to concrete abutments and clad with granite. John suggested to obtain set of design drawings to be reviewed by the DAC. ROUTE 2A / 128' John informed DAC next meeting of Route 2A / 128 to take place on Thursday, 9/15/94 @ 8:00 P.M. in room G111 John Frey presented " three alternate citizen plan' dated August, 1994 as well as " one way citizen plan" dated September 12, 1994 GUIDELINES ( Tom Coffman requested that all interested DAC members respond to Guideline draft by the end of this week. Toni to review design guideline final draft at next meeting. EMERY PARK Steven to contact Tom Coffman to arrange meeting in October with interested individuals / groups. DAC MEMBERSHIP REVIEW Selectmen to review membership applications for approval.
