Facing Woodland Rd. -more nearly conforms to neighborhood -no abutter would be directly exposed to back yard 2. About same distance back from road as #12 Woodland Rd. 3 . Assume there will be no garage. 9. Preferred location is toward the center and upper quarter of the lot. -best drainage location -ground is more level (no retaining wall xequired) -less exposed foundation on downside of grade -easier access during construction -more equal distance from adjoining houses 5. Appears natural and in harmony with its environment. THE PATH 1 . Moved to accomodate more centrally located house. 2 . Located as far from house as possible. -privacy of residents -maintains path as somewhat separate entity 3. Need not be straight , but should have line-of-sight reaching to near the end of the lot. If openirg in rear stone fence \ can be relocated , the line-of-sight can be extended. 4 . Shielded from house by as many trees and plants as possible . 5. Relocation completed first , so can be used during house construction. THE TREES 1 . Back third of lot remains essentially as it is . - 2. Appears that fewer trees will be lost , if house and laWn are located over the existing path. (trees already gone) 3 . Some tree loss from relocating path, but can be limited by route selection. - - - 9. Trees will form mantle over path as they do today. THE LAWN 1 . Some front and back lawn to accomomodate reasonable family living. 2. Located over existing path to limit tree loss. THE DRIVEWAY . 1 . Located as far from path as possible. -safety -inadvertant auto damaqe 2 . Accomodates two cars , side-by-side. 3 . Remaining trees with new plantings and/or a berm to blend into natural surroundinga . .J ;, - _ _ - • 'u' —— i - • t t - _ - -1 . . . - - - _ • ' - _ . - ' . ;;, .
