Waltham St. and Mass. Ave. Don suggested Waltham St. was wide enough to allow 2 Mass.Ave.-bound lanes and 1 Waltham-bound lane for the distance of 3 or 4 cars at that intersection. DAC were in favor and proposed that the 2 suggestions should be taken to the LCC with the hope that a temporary test might be implemented, after going through proper channels. Parking spaces: Bigelow Moore has found 5 locations for new spaces, DAC only found the ones at the Jersey barrier germane. We would agree there could be parking there at present. We suggest barrier should be removed. Lexpress: To Barbara Hulshizer's proposalfor certain busses to park on Mass.Ave. east-bound, Sara Arnold responded that the elderly would have difficulty when tranferring. We would refer to Barbara Lucas for the numbers of transfers in the total ridership. John Frey will address issues relevant to the Mariam Hill Association at their meeting on Feb. 28 Bikeway- Bikeway planting will be studied by Tree Committee with proposals for changes sent for selectmen s approval and taken to State. It would be hoped that the state Bikeway funds might pay for these corrections. Crossings at streets: DAC suggests more paint is needed for safety (We recognize State has not finished these,/ Historic marker on Green. Jack had spoken previously of National Park markers, He had been in contact with Park and makers of the markers. DAC prefers letters in pavement.
