LEXINGTON DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE
NOVEMBER 13, 1990
ATTENDING J FREY, CHAIRMAN; J EDDISON, B WHITMAN, B HULSIZER, P READ,
A HUANG R BECHTEL T COFFMAN B OSSMAN
1 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING WERE APPROVED WITH ONE CHANGE
TERM IN ITEM #3 & #9 "SUBCOMMITTEE" CHANGED TO "STUDY GROUPS"
2 THE WORK SHOP FOR DESIGN GUI DELINES IS SCHEDULED ON DEC 5, 1990
3 THE "DESIGN GUII>IILELINES" ORIGINAL WAS RECEIVED JACK WILL DISCUSS IT
WITH RICK THE NEXT DAY ABOUT THE PROPER REPRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION
DAC MEMBERS SUGGESTED THAT VARIES TOWN GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS MIGHT
BE THE TARGETS FOR DISTRIBUTION AND FINAL DISTRIBUTION WILL BE
DETERMINED BY FURTHUR COMMITTEE DISCUSSION IN ADDITION, THE COLOR
OF COVER PAGES FOR BOTH VOLUMES WAS DISCUSSED A STUDY GROUP
CONSISTED OF JACK, PEG AND JOHN WILL EVALUATE AND MAKE RECOMMANDATION
TO THE COLOR ISSUE
4 JA-C-K WILL TAKE DAC GROUP PICTURE TO "TOWN REPORT"
5 TOMKAND RICK STATED THAT THEY HAD REVIEWED THE SIGN-BY LAW IN THEIR
OPENION, THE PRESENT SIGN-BY LAW IS APPROPRIATE AND COMPREHENSIVE
THE DESCRIPTION OF SPECIAL PERMIT PROCESS AND PROCEDURE IS CLEAR
AND COMPATIBLE WITH "DESIGN GUIDELINES" AND PROJECTING SIGNS AND
BANNERS HAD BEEN INCOPORATED INTO THE BY-LAWS PEG STATED THAT LCC
HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SIGN-BY LAW BECAUSE
THEY HAVE EXPERIENCES WITH APPLICANTS SHOWED CONFUSIONAND INTIMIDATIOP
BY THE LANGUAGE OF THE BY LAW TOM SUGGESTED THAT SOME GRAPHIC
REPRESENTATION MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO CLEARING SOME SPECIFIC VISUAL
AND DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
6 PEG PRESENTED BENCH LOCATION PLAN FOR LEXINGTON CENTER AREA SIXTEEN
BENCHES ARE RECOMMANDED AND THEY CAN BE DIVIDED INTO FOUR GROUPS
7 JOHN WILL WRITE DAC COMMENTS RE RAPONI APPLICATION FOR MARRETT ROAD
PROPERTY AND SUBMIT IT TO BOARD OF APPEAL
8 SEVERAL POSSIBLE CANDIDATES WERE RECOMMANDED FOR HDC UPCOMING NEW
MEMBERSHOP- THEY ARE HAGENAUGH, SILBER, FLETCHER AND JOHN
IS GOING TO CALL EACH NOMINEES AND DISCUSS THEIR AVAILABILITIES
9 RESPONSES TO EMERY PARK QUESTIONNAIRE SHOULD BE SENT BACK TO
- DON OLSON BY THANKSGIVING
