Memberships
Jack Eddison suggested the committee be enlarged to 7.
This pool of resource should look for a group of profes-
sionalism and taste . We shall be interacting with other
town committees .
The committee suggested the following
Robert D. Bradley, architect, of 15 Rockville Ave .
Norma Bogen, planner, of 13 Barberry Rd.
John Frey, landscape architect, of 1133 Massachusetts Ave.
Walter Pierce, architect, of 16 Trotting Horse Dr.
Functions to be performed ( interaction with other committees)
1 . Affordable housing
2 Bikeway
3 Lincoln Field
4 Emory Park (Depot Square) . It was suggested that a
competition was perhaps not the best method to obtain
a good design
Don Olson mentioned that in that general area, in
front of the Giroux Building, there may be foundations
and conduits for lighting already in place from 20 years
ago
5. Rebuilding of the block in the center. Dick has the
plans in his office.
Don mentioned the trees in front of the fire area may
be in stress.
6. Signs in the historic district. A more imaginative
use may be desirable .
It was agreed that each of us should have the Lexington Center
Report to study.
It was mentioned that David Williams encourages people to make
gifts to the town. These can be tied into trusts.
We hope to have Marge Battin present at our next meeting.
Mention was made of parking and our role in this area.
Respectfully submitted,
Elizabeth . Whitman
