1. Financials—Additional funds needed for clock installation to cover granite base,granite marker for the tree
planted on Lexington Common,time capsule marker,and book publishing
2. Merchandise Status—300th book distribution to 3rd 5th &8th graders, 150 books to the elementary schools,
120 books to Lexington High School,5 to every school library and 10 to Cary Library additional books
available for sale;discussion on distribution&holding back books for some inventory
3 Clock—Eric Carlson addressed the gold leafing of the 4 rosettes to beautify and enhance appearance.
a. Motion: Approve gold leaving of rosettes and write letter to Historic Districts Commission for
approval. Motion Adopted Unanimously Sue Rockwell will write the letter.
4 Volunteer Thank You—Thank you event was very well attended and appreciated by all.
5 Wrap-Ups
a. Book Proposals—book printer proposal writing discussed
b. Web Transition—Cheryl Meadow reported plans for transition
c. Image Archive transition—Carin Casey—pending final image cataloging
d. Finances—too early for final report
e. Book Team—need to designate book team to review proposals—
i. Motion: The following be appointed and authorized in concert with Sue Rockwell&
Donna Hooper,to select a publisher&printer for the 300th book: Carin Casey,Tanya
Morrisett,Polly Kienle and Jessie Steigerwald Motion Adopted Unanimously

Web Site Discussion:
• Discussion was held on`google'analytics,Facebook,Twitter,and other social media used;transition of web
site from Weebly hosted,URL to be maintained,and when and how to archive the web site.
• Interest in connecting the 300th web site to Town Celebrations web presence
• Town Information Services staff to oversee the 300th web site through March 31,2014,turnover for July Pt
• Questions on cancelling the assigned emails for 300th committee members,and which of any email to continue
to retain.
• Spotify—Facebook&Twitter—staff to handle—
