Discussion:
1. Donna Hooper reviewed financial balances and anticipated outstanding expenses
a. Jessie Steigerwald moved the Clock/Capsule budget be amended to total$5,500
Unanimously Adopted
b. Tanya Morrisett moved the concert budget be amended to total$9,000
Unanimously Adopted
Members discussed the benefits of banner hanging as publicity vs.benefit,
income from banner sales is not a great fundraiser.
2. Merchandise Sales—merchandise sales are going well
3 Programs&Events plans for programs and events underway were discussed and reviewed.
a. Old Time baseball event is in need of volunteers
b. Appreciation Event is scheduled for June 2nd
Motion: If sufficient funds remain after covering costs,funds should be appropriated to purchase a park
bench to be dedicated to the many 3001 anniversary celebration volunteers Unanimously Adopted
c. Carie Casey reviewed plans for Volunteer recognition event;food to be provided by Neillios,
estimated to cost approximately$6 per person. Members authorized moving forward with the
food order.
4. Community Events for approval—No new community events are presented for approval.
a. Clergy Open House—Open House to the religious houses of worship was well received.
b. Therapeutic Day School event poorly attended,publicity was lacking
5 Committee wrap-up matters
a. Commemorative Book—plans to produce a book that somewhat resembles a yearbook format
b. Donated Items Acceptance—no action
c. Disposition of Sale Items—no action
d. Records Collection&Archiving matters—discussion on archiving the web&collection of the
musical score
6. Publicity&Communications—new lawn signs have been ordered for the upcoming events
7 Other: 300'"list of volunteers;Kathy Fields @ Crafty Yankee has produced the silver tricorn hat charm
