Discussion:
1. Financial—Donna Hooper reviewed current account balance and expenses
a. Jessie Steigerwald identified costs for town-wide postcard mailing and half-page advertisement in
Lexington Minuteman newspaper
b. Discussion on turnaround time for producing banners for hanging
c. Van Seasholes raised issue about handling remaining handcrafted items for fundraising
2. Programs and Events
a. Congratulations were extended to all planers for the Patriots'Day celebration
b. Discovery Day—table is planned for staffing and sale of items
c. Clock Dedication/Time Capsule—the clock is on its way from Florida and should arrive this
week. Tree at Debot Square is to be moved this week and preparations for the clock made.
d. Poem prepared by Reggie O'Hare Gibson is to be read at the clock dedication
e. Time Capsule producer and donor Stanley Abkowitz seeks to display the capsules at the Citizen's
Bank over upcoming weeks; Sue Rockwell will make arrangements
f. Plans for Old Time Baseball are coming together nicely
g. We are Lexington Concert—Tanya Morrisett and Susan Navia are handling confirmations
h. Volunteer Thank You event planned for June 20d is to be recognized by the Selectmen at their
meeting of May 6th
3. Community Events for approval and Update
a. First Parish Church event on how Lexington became Lexington—will be videotaped
b. Parker Homestead event has been rescheduled to Saturday,May 111th;Bill Poole is to provide
tours of the homestead
c. Whittemore House Program—Approved Unanimously as a 300th Coordinating Event
4. Publicity and Communications
a. Plans for townwide postcard mailing,Massachusetts Ave banners,Lexington Minuteman
Newspaper half-page advertisements,Colonial Times advertisement;
