• Estimated$142,000 raised,with$25,000 appropriation from Town of Lexington
• Expended thus far—estimated$86,000

i. Lawn signs for incorporation weekend&May closing—Approved unanimously$23,000
to cover—townwide mailing,Minuteman advertisement,Colonial Times advertisement,
banners&lawn signs (Banners&Brackets Eric Carlson to photograph banners&
locations)
2. Programs&Events
• Incorporation Weekend—plans moving forward,golden tickets,panels&activities,seating,
tickets&buttons distribution at Town Clerk's Ofice.
• All-Town Bell Ringing—Use of Lexington Common on March 3131@ 5:13 pm,Reading of State
Document. Small bells to be ordered. MOTION: Approve up to$500 to order official bells to be
used in bell-ringing by Selectmen,etc. ADOPTED UNANIMOUSLY
• Sue Rockwell to order 1,000 mini-bells
• Other arrangements—join mailing with Town Celebrations for town-wide mailing,
• `Other Lexingtons' Invitations issued to the other Lexingtons,but no responses other than
Lexington,Kentucky—Jessie Steigerwald in contact with the Mayor.
• Golden Hat—Cristina Burwell idea to spray Tricon hats gold&decorate for use at Incorporation
weekend,with local artists to design,300 hats for kids,adults,etc.to decorate for hats to be
hidden around Lexington. Finders of hats to march in the Patriots Day parade—36 hats,300 kids.
• Old Time Baseball—

• Discovery Day 2013—300`s Theme
• Lions&Rotary dedication ceremony Monday
• Time Capsules—Governance&Peoples capsules,with Julia Steigerwald to oversee the`Peoples'

• Clock Update—Approvals for clock to be erected at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue&Depot
Square sidewalk received from the authorizing Town committees—Tree Committee,Center
Committee,with return visit to the Historic Districts Committee needed,and appearance before
the Design Advisory Committee set for March 7°h

how to publish?
• 300th Comix Books—`Lexington Then and Now' Bentley Boyd—
i. 3000 books received,Lexington 300i°selling at price of$8/ea. Free copies to those
credits—
1. LWV Town Meeting Members Association(each 15 free),and Chinese
American Association(4 free)
• Quilts @ Cary Memorial Library—2 quilts created and gifted to the Lexington 300Th celebration—
hanging temporarily at the Cary Memorial Library
4. Publicity&Communications
• Cheryl Meadow—possibly consider Bob Collins on Publicity Team,for social media&digital
content;currently 225 followers on Facebook. Bob Collins—Tweeter. Lots of attention on the
Website,upcoming Patriots' Day preparations—need web content.
