Stumpp The meeting was called to order at 7-:40 p.m. MOTION Moved, seconded, and unanimously approved that the Minutes of. the meeting on February 15, 1978, be approved as mailed to Council Treasurer J. Carlson submitted his report on "Status of 1978 Budget at March 8,, 1978", MOTION Moved, seconded, and unanimously approved that the Treasurer's report be approved. Chairman's Report, Ch. Sen stated that the Council on Aging had. been requested to be.at the March 13 meeting of the Board of Selectmen to dis- cuss Articles 32 and 33 of the Town Warrant. The Appropriation Committee had taken no action on these articles (rather, unfavorable action) because "It is the understanding of the Appropriation Committee that the Board of Selectmen are appointing a committc-_-_----t1:_to make a study .of this plan." Department of Elder Affairs. Due to an emergency Margaret Clemmons was unable to attend the meeting, as previously planned. However, considerablei contributions were made to the discussion of Centers by Joan Sing, Beal .th. Analyst, from that Department. Title V Grants are available for renova- ..tions for Senior Centers. It was mentioned that Amherst has a multi -service center. There was discussion also concerning Day Care -Centers and their .1 value-. ForumonAging, Alice Shafer presented information to JL ---he Council about the activity of the Forum on Aging and up-to-date plans. It is desired that as many people as possible attend the four Forum meetings. Ad -Hoc Committee on Town Manager Memo. Council members made sugcrest,ions o this rough draft -report, t- report, in which it was suggested that a Recreation n c Committee of the Council be formed. - S. Clark will rewrite the report, and the final draft will be submitted to the Council at its next meeting. Health Fair. Jean Wood, the Coordinator of the Health Fairr, a Gradu ------------ .Student at Boston College, presented the plans and.budcret for the Health Fair, which is to be held at the Minuteman Technical School on May 60 Cj Lexington. Bills will he submitted to the ' Treasurer of the CoA Home Care.
