Quorum
Low attendance did not make it possible to constitute a quorum.
Minutes of 3/24/98
Kathryn Davis who was listed as absent was actually present.
Warrant Articles Pertaining to LexHab
( Warrant Articles 45 and 53 were up for reconsideration with Florence Baturin prepared
to affirm the point of view of the Fair Housing Committee.
LAST NITE Lexington 1999
Ann Irving, Volunteer Coordinator of LAST NITE Lexington 1999 and Jessie Foster,
came seeking the support of the committee. This year will be Lexington's 225`h
anniversary of the Battle of Lexington as well as the beginning of the new millenium.
The event will run from 1 p m. until midnight. There will be fireworks, arts and crafts,
and entertainment. Cindy Savage is the Chairperson. Dan Busa is liaison from the
Board of Selectmen. Hayden Recreation Center, the Police Department, Fire
Department and Chamber of Commerce have already given their support. Ideas,
participation and financial assistance are requested.
LexHab
A Lexington citizen has requested Fair Housing Committee review following LexHab
requesting that she move out at the end of five years on the basis that she was over
income. The complainant felt that HUD income guidelines did not fairly apply to
Lexington where cost of living was higher Those present thought it would be
appropriate to look into the matter Question was raised about LexHab objectives,
( grievance procedures and guidelines. Ralph Clifford will invite Marshall Derby, LexHab
Chair to a meeting of the committee.
