fa'avel spread and graded on Reed Street ,
Ward Street '"liter Street , T°'estview Street,
Old County Hord . Trees and bushes cut on
a number of bad corners on Grove Stre t.
It is intended to cut back these corners
as the present condition is dangerous con-
sidering the amount of traffic on this street
The work of placing a granite edgestone
in front of the hydrants on Massachusetts
Avenue , between LexingtonCenter and the
Arlington t line on has been completed and th; s will
protect them to a great extent from being broken
by collision.
Sand, covering was snread on several streets
to prevent the bitu _inous from breaking up
Surface patches were made on Massachusetts Avenue .
Street signs were erectel at Carville Ave. ,
corner of Oak Street, Chase Ave . , corner of
Taft Avenue , Bennett Avenue , corner Chase
Avenue, Blossom Street , corner Waltham Street,
and Iiflyes Avenue , corner of Meriam Streit.
Snew fell `T'hursdav an,R Sat'2rday, January 10th
and 12th. Sidewalks and stre -t plows were
emnloired on both days to cleer away the snow.
Moth Department.
Gyrsy moth pests treated With creosote on
trees in Walnut Street , Pleasant street and
East Street.
Park Department.
Regular maintenance work carried on.

About 150 feet of 12" ripe have been laid in
Massachusetts Avenue . The work contemplated for
• the week ending January 26th is as follows
continuation -If the laying of the 12" water main;
regular water maintenance work.
