SIE ':MEEKLY REPORT OF THE SUPT. OF PUBLIC "JORKS
For week ending January 12,1929.
Highway Dept.
Gravel spread and graded on Reed Street;
Ward Stre-t Wi-ter Street, T°restview Street,
Old County Aosd. Trees and busies out on
a number of bad corners on Grove Stret.
It is intended to cut back these corners
as the present condition is d.angerol.is con-
sidering the amount of traffic on this street.
The work of placing a granite edgestone
in front of the hydrants on Massachusetts
Avenue, between LexingtonCenter and the
Arlington line has been completed and. this will
protect them to a great extent from being bro'xen
by collision.
Sand. covering wa.s spread on several streets
to prevent the bituminous from breaking up.
Surface patches were made on Massachusetts Avenue.
Street signs were erected at Carville Ave.,
corn^r of Oak Street, Chase Ave., corner of
Taft Avenue, Bennett Avenue, corner Chase
Avenue, Blossom Street, corner,'Naltham Street,
and hayes Avenue, corner of lderiam Street..

and 12th. Sidewalks and street plows were
emnlo:Ted on both days to clear away the snow.
Moth Department.
Gyrsy moth pests treated With creosote on
trees in Walnut Street, Pleasant Street and
last Street.
Park Department.
Regular maintenance work carried on.

About 150 feet of 12" ripe have. been laid in
i�assachusetts Avenue. The work contemplated for
the week ending January 26th is as follows:
