Hearing was declared open upon the acceptance of Simonds Road
at 8:05 P. M.
Letter was received from Clifford A. Currier in which he
objected to the improvement of Simonds Road.
Letter was received from the W. A. Webster Lumber Co. stating
that #hey were in favor of the acceptance of Simonds Road provided
that the betterment could be distributed over a period of ten years.
The following persons were present: Mr. Hallie C. "Blake,
William'R. S. Eaton; representing the Lexington Trust Co., Edwin B.
WaDthen,'Kathleen A. Riexinger, Ethelinda Morrill, William A. Morrill,
Bertha M. Bradbury, Raymond J. Bradbury, Frank P. Hallett, Rudolph
and Margaret K. Gfroerer; Isabel G. Ke$nan, R. Coman & Margaret C.
Savoye, Mr. and Mrs. Gerome L. Proctor, Elywn F. and Claire H. Bonney.
All perbons present seemed to be in favor of the layout of the
street as a public highway and no objections were received.
The'hearing upon the acceptance of York Street was opened at
8:30 P.M.
Hallie C. Bgake, Charles M. Blake, Robwrt C. Mert$am, Ashton G.
Little and Walter Temple appeared before the Board in regard to the
layout of this street.
None of the persons present made any objection to the con-
struction
on struetion of the street provided the cost could be distributed over
a period of ten years. They were informed that they should
immediately inform the Board in writing when they receive the
amount of betterment, as to just"what term of years they desire to
have the amount apportioned over.
At 9 P.M; the hearing on the layout of Prospect Hill Road was
declared open.
Fred L.'Lord, Neil McIntosh, Seldon A. Jacobs and. Munroe Ames
were present.
Letters objecting to the layout of'the street were received
from Louis P Buff and Perley H. Osgood, present owners of the
Catus property, wrich is located near the junction of Marrett
Road and Prospect Hill Road.
Mr. Lord was in favor of a 24 foot layout of the street, but
did not feel that any sidewalks should be provided for. He also
felt that some of the trees ought not to be removed, and that it
might be possible to build the street without removing them.
Mr. Jacobs was in favor of a 24 foot layout without a d$dewalk,
but he felt that he would rather not have the street constructed if
the trees were to be left near the roadway.
Mr. Ames stated that he owned the holtse next to the Catus
house, and inasmuch as the condition -of the road did not bother him
any, he objected to it being built for acceptance.

Mr. Custance finally agreed to have the engineer re-flgtr6 the
estimate of the street so that no sidewalks would be included and
send the figures to the abuttors.
Mr. McIntosh protested against being assessed for lots #11 and
12 on Marrett Road, inasmuch as he did not feel tl-Lqt any benefit was
received on these lots by the street layout.
