Letter was received from the Supt. of Public Works in which he made
a recommendation as to the increase in water rates to be adopted.
Mr. Robertson stated that he recommended that we proceed to establish
the water rates in accordance with the second paragraph of the Supt.
of Public 'Works' letter with the exception of the change of 184' instead
of 17 ¢. The recommendation of the Supt of Public Works is as follows:
First 25,000. cu. ft. 290 per 100 cu. ft.
riext 15, 030. cu. ft. 24 per 100 Cu. ft. :7
All over 40,000. Cu. ft. 200 per 100 Cu. ft .
is possible that the Board may conclude that this rate is
too heavy for the large water user to bear and it may be that we
could add another rate to the scale or change the minimum allowance
at the higher rate, that is, make it 20,000 Cu. ft. at 29 per 100,
20, 000. Cu . ft. at 24 per 1002 20,000 cu. ft. at 20' per 100, and
all over that amount to pay l710 per 103. "

before them a schedule with the earnings of the Department under the
present charge and the schedule of the proposed earnings with the
new change in rates.
