A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in their offiee at the Town Hall at 7.30 P.M. for the purpose of checking the appropriation sheets of the various departments. Messrs. Custance, Burnham, Ballard, Robertson, and Chamberlain were present as was also the Supt. of Public Worka. Two members of the Planning Board presented a plan of the Munroe property bordering Mass. Avenue, Pelham Road, Eliot Road and showing a street out through from.. Percy Road. to Eliot Road'li The plan was held for further study by the Board. The Board looked over and analzed each appropriation sheet. In regard to Village Hall the Supt. of Public Works is to look over that part used by the Fire Department and make recommendations as to cleaning and painting and is to have some member of the Board of Engineers look this over with him. The Inspector of Wires, Mr. Louis W Bills, is requested to meet the Board at their regular meeting, Tuesday, January 31, 1928 to explain his duties. The. Supt. of Public Works is to see Mr. Worthen regarding a traffic beacon at Waltham. Street and Concord Avenue. The Supt. of Public. Works has talked withMr.. Worthen *butt this and he advises not to put one at this point. It was suggested that a letter be written to Mr. Edward C. Stone asking his advice as to the Town insuring in Mutual companies.
