Present Jim Findley, Ron Marble, John McGirr, Bea Phear Students Phil Deutch,
Amy Dockser, Neal Moskow, Diane Parr, Mary Ellen Sirianos
Absent. Nancy Barter, Ron Wells
Minutes
The minutes of the meeting of May 4 were approved as ammended Bea will have two intern
workers a summer intern who will do Hire A Youth, and an academic year intern who is the
one that could help organize the Youth Awareness Week
Human Services
Several members of the Human Services Committee were present for the first part of the
meeting They invited us to attend a "Human Services Providers breakfast at 7 30 am
on June 8 in the Selectmen's Meeting Room RSVP to Bea Phear
Decided To work together on the Youth Awareness Week - perhaps a task force over the
summer Boberta Black (862-6529) and Judy Zabin (861-0956) are the Human Service
Committee members responsibly for Youth
Outward Bound
Ron Marble reported that we have received over $1,200 to date Phil stated that the
Junior Class will be contributing $25 00
Kids to Kids
Neal and Phil reported that the program was successful with two kids but didn't work out
with two others A possibility for next year is to incorporate Kids-to-Kids with the
school without walls program run by Al November
Musket
Neal and Phil circulated copies of the Musket that contained a Youth Commission article
This article resulted in Amy becoming interested in joining
Next Meeting
As scheduled 7 30 pm, June 1, in room 111 Town Office Building
