HomeMy WebLinkAbout1927-05-231 1 1 SPECIAL MRETIRG3 MAY 25, 1927 A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the Selectmen's Office at 8 P.M. Messrs. Custance, Burnham, Ballards Robertson, and Chamberlain were present. The Board of Survey held a meeting which had been advertised for May 23, 1927 at 8 P.M. in regard to laying out a street off Woburn Street in the vicinity of Cottage Street over land of Bridget Leary. Mr. Dennis Collins, Miss Nora Keary, Mr. Joseph Vaughn, and Mrs. Bridget Leary were present and interested in the lay out of the street. Mr. Frederick L. Emery, Chairman of the Planning Board, was -also present. Mr. Emery reported theM thb PJa;Ln Board had not had sufficient time to study Alae; emir§-. proKsition of laying out the streets in this section, and felt that more time was necessary to study the same. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M. to June 28, 1927 the same being five weeks from the 24th of May the regular meeting night. The Board then considered the matter of appointing a police officer. The elligible list was as follows: George E. Smith 8 Independence Road 87.28 John W. Rycroft 12A Utica Street 81.42 Robert A. McAdoo 3 Shirley Street 88.92 After discussing the matter it was voted to appoint John W. Rycroft, 12A Utica Street as a regular patrolman. Meeting adjourned at 11:45 P.M.
