MINUTES of Commission meeting November 27. 1972

pt°esentatives met last Friday afternoon with Er, Downes on
criteria and procedures 1'iesdemes Nichols and Rawls and David
Hughes attended. The following possible a,oming criteria were
listed by Er. Downes
1) lands surrounding year-round bodies of water
2) streams brooks& waterways and beginnings, of -treame
which are wet any time of the year
3) lowlands and swampy areas which ape wet a significant
part of the year
4) significant geological features (eonsnattcY)
5) uplands related to the ;protection of ground water supplies
6) areas where soil leaching is poor (UnEetcea^ed)
Mr. Downes advocated a "package'' proposal containing both zoning
by.iaw and lands to come under ier it. The group agreed to first
draft a by-ler and then decide whether to propose itwithout
lends in. 1973 or to delay until a t°,peckag&'could be prepared.
