The meeting was called to order at 7:55 by the Vice-Chairman, Mrs.. Frick, with other Commission members Mrs. Rawls and Messrs. Larson, Smith and Williams present, as well as ex-officio member Mr. Mazerall, Associate Members Dr, Friedman, and Mesdames Nichols and Solomon and Administrative Assistant David Hughes. Pollution of Vine Brook was discussed with Maureen Road residents Lloyd Taylor and Paul Dratch, M.D. ., who have called members of the Board of Selectmen, Mr, Heustis and the Lexington Minute-Man, in the hopes that pollution abatement measures more drastic than chlorination can be taken. Commission to follow through. Maureen Road residents also asked about the felling of trees for the widening of East Street. Haroian Land Rezoning proposal was discussed with Nishan Haroian, owner, John Crowe, landscape architect, David L. Pavelka, A chi- tect (Ecotecture) and William Whalon, attorney for Mr. Haroian. 86 townhouse-type units are proposed, with an 8,000 square-foot pond in the center on 8 ± acres of land. Developer stated his belief that run- off rate would be unchange by the development. Arnold Goldstein of S.E.A. Consultants discussed with the Com- mission some of the kinds of services his concern could provide in the fields of pollution control, water supply, sewers, water tables and suitable land acquisitions to protect water tables. Campanelli Proposed Building. for Tyco on Lot 9 of subdivision on cul-de-sac discussed in relation to Hatch Act Hearing of August 21 and its sequels (permit not yet granted) , Commission opinion on the proposal requested before Board of Appeals hear- ing. Legal question as to quether Lot 9 development can be included in earlier Hatdh Act data or would require new Hatch Act hearing under latest revisions. (MFR, GL, FF) Present at the above discussion were Mr. Goldstein, Wilbur C. Wilcox, representing Campanelli, Inc., of Bndntree, and Robert E. Raymond, Engineer, of Bradford Saivetz & Associates, Inc., of Braintree. Wetland Zoning discussion with Planning Board and Board of Selectmen reported.
