MEETING, NOVEER 10,1925 '
t regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held
November 10, at 8 P k. at the Selectmen' s Room, Town Hall, Lexington.
The following members of the Board were present, Messrs. Custance,
Moulton, Piles and Burnham. The Supt. of Public Works and Clerk
were also present.
Hearing was held upon the application of ?heodo-e A. Custance
for permission to erect a two cr garage on Highland Avenue
No persons objected and it cas voted to grant the permit.
Hearing was held upon the application of .iary E. Marshall for
permission to erect a three car garage on .diddle Street near the
corner of "'althorn Street.
Mr. Edward Crouch of Grape Vine Ave. came before the Board
to object to this garage being erected as -he stated he would make
his place dark it was to be erect -o near his property.
The Board saw no objection to the garage as it is to be of
a private nature, and after viewing the plan advised tme applicant
to locate the building far enough away from .r. Crouch' s property
so that it would not be objectionable.
Mr. Day Baker, attorney, and :r. Hart of the Hart Motor Bus
Co. came before the Board in reference to obtaining a permit
to operate on the L,tate oad and make stops to collect passengers
and leave them off.
The Board had no objections to their proposition provided
they complied with the regulations of the Board in regard to jitney
bus service.
The hearing which was postponed from the 3rd upon the petition
of the New Lng. Tel 8, Tel. Co was reopened. Owing to the fact that
the proposed location of the company was not satitfactory to the
'Supt. of Public '"forks it was voted to refuse the location.
Alcohol License was granted to C. ".T. Claflin of Mass. tive.
