Bartlett J Harrington of 11 Curve Street, a local
contractor, came before the Board in reference to the bid being
let for the sidewalk work in front of the High School. He felt
that he did not have a chance to bid and that the bid was let
at an early date. He felt that specifications should be sent
sent out because he did not think that the work being
done for $2.75 per sq yd was good work. There seemed to be
some misunderstanding about the matter and in order to straight-
ening out any misunderstanding in the future, the Board re-
quested the Superintendent to make out specifications for
the sidewalk woLk and either send out specifications asking
for bids or advertising for bids.

that both parties, the Town and the Boston & :,_aine RR. pay
one half the expense involved
This settlement seemed satisfactory to the Board and
authorized the Supt. to settle on that basis if possible.
