:i meeting of the Board of.Select.men was held in the Selectmen's
Room, Town hall, Lexington, on Tue-da-,r, May 12, 1925 at 8 P. M. The
following members of the Board were present: iesers. Hutchinson,
Burnham, :oulton, :,.ilei and. QuPtance. the Supt. of Pub'_ic York-
nd Cler'� of the Doard. vrere also present.
Hearing was declared open upon application of Albion 1. Newell
of Lee Road for permisrion to erect and maintain garage at See Doad.

Letter war received from John L. potter of 580 Ya^s. A -revue,
Cambridge, who it a real e-ta.te dealer, arkinc whether or not a
permit could be obtained from the Board of aelr-ctmen for a burving
ground. on the liavir property on Bedford Street. Yr. Cotter had a
proposed sale for this property.
The :3oard replied th_it they were not in favor of a burial

the appointment of t:.e chief of the rare ')ep rtment. Le
enclosed propex form of letter to be rent to the Engineers
giving them their appointment.
in this connection it was ther<for"vo; d: That the vote
of this Board hitherto ddopted with respect to engineers of the
Fire Department be amended eo as to read ar follows:
'Voted: That pursuant to the provisions in i. L. c. 48,
rec. 45 Ed—.—urs r+ Taylor and Ch-rl es L. Parker be appointed
j engineers for one year from may 1. 1925 and until others are
ar-ointed in their stead.'"
