A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the

Approval of the appointment of George A. dtarner as Slaughter
Inspector and also of the appointment of Dr. ChFvter L. 'Blakely

Letter war received from the Chairman of the 150tH ynni- '
vereary Oommittee, Ldv;ard C. Stone, in which he asked for
permission to use. Cary hall on zJunda?r and=,:onday, April 19 and
20, for the use of the Fublicit7 �om:.ittee.

The Committee also asked for the use of the Town IIIall for
Sunday evening for the meeting of the Lexington Historical

Society and f)r police protection on that evening.
Permission was given for all requests of the committee as
was also for the request for the use -)f thf playground ar:d

Lr. Frederick L. Emery asked the Board's opinion a,r to
whether or not they thought the Capt Parker statue should be
changed so that it would look more like the original than at
the present time. Ile r t.a.tFd that when the fourtain war changed

letter to the board in regard to tl-.e .,altham Street ^rideni.-g,
stated that, he would take $:2400 for 1200 feet of land - 153 ft.
deep and 8 ft. wide.

to have the ure of the Town Hall for rehearsals for the

1workr, to take charpe of issuing; permits for the sale of

It ,sae decided to have the regular meetings of the Board
Of Selectmen called for 7:30 P. :. inrtead of 8.00 P..:. as in
the roast.

# "Voted that the vote of this Board hitherto adopted with
respect to engineers of the Fire Department be amended so as to read
as follows;
'Voted: That pursuant to the provisions in G. L. c. 48, sec. 45,
Edward W. Taylor and Charles A. Parker be appointed engineers for
one year from May 1, 1925 and until others bre appointed in their
stead.'"
