regular meeting of the Board of selectmen war held in the
Selectman' s Room, foT:n hall , Lexington , on 2urrday , January 13 .1925 ,
at 8 P . a_. The following members of the Board were prerent
Icerrre . houlton, curtance , nutchinron . The Town Clerk was
also present L_r . Burnham war absent.
hearing war called upon petition of Neil hclntorh for approval
of plan showing lay out of proposed road" on the Cary Farm.
r. Lclntosh war requerted to prepare further plan showing
hie proposed lay-out of adjoining property particularly how he
would provide for right of way to existing streets from land that
he propores to sell in middle area of thio land.
hearing war postponed until rebruary 10 , at which time
ter. iclntorh bar to prerent his plan.
the board voted to extend their efforts to Ldwa-d V Collinr
of hare . ewe . Last Lexington that, he might receive his licenre
to operate an automobile from Registrar Frank Goodwin.
hr. a.oulton war requerted to interview Goodwin in behalf
of l.olline .
Cheney of the .rimer ican Gar accumulator Company appeared
before the board to advocate traffic rignalr as used in Barton.
and Lowell and provided by hip ' irm.
The Board favored the location of rignalr about the town
and ar thir company agreed to inretall the rignale without expense
to the town, the Board authorized him to do ro and if the came
proved ratirfactory the Town might vote to accept fame .
The Supt. of Public uorke rap requerted to cooperate with
hr. Cheney' in arranging details.
It war voted that the Board of Health pay the bill for treat-
ment of Levine child. this being a case of diphtheria. x25 .50
It war voted that bill for treatment of Chief of Police fir
injuries nuffered in performance of duty be paid.
Letter received from the civic arrociation of :cart Lexington
war placed on file .
It rue voted that letter of .illiam Roger Lireeley in regard
to further decoration of b_emorial tablet placed on the table .
It was voted that an tirticle be placed in the Warrant to the
effect that l•iddle ,street and State noad be called state Road
all the way.
' It war voted to appoint Osborne J . Gorman as Forert Warren
and Supt. of the Loth Department for the ensuing year.
