MEETING. DECEMBER 9 . 1924 .
A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen 'as held in
the Selcctmen' n Room, Town Niall , Lexington , on Tuesday , December 9 ,
1924 , At 8 F . M. The following members of the Board were present:
Meyers . Burnham, ourtance . Miles . Hutchinson and ioulton . The Town
Clerk war aleo prerent .
The Board voted to grant the use of the Town Hall to the
high School for practice in Basket Ball five Jays each week begin-
ring at 3 0 P . .
Frederick L. Emery came before the Board and present d the
following vote
Voted, that the general scheme for the development of the
driver , walk and brooks, in the Park property south of Vine Brook,
submitted by %r . F . L . Emery , President of the Lexineton Field
and Garden Club , be aproved and raid .emery ir authorized to confer
with adioininR private property owners with a view to securing their
cooperation and ir also authorized to confer with adjoining private
property owners with a view to securing their cooperation and is
alto authorized to confer informally with sir . A. a. Shurtleff , land-
scape architect relative thereto .

The Board was agreeable to the vote prevented by Mr. Emery
and voted to accept sante unanimously .

Life with copy of Emerger,cy Housing Lawr were read by the Chairman,
and it war the unanimous sentiment of the Aboard that there ir no
further necessity for there lawr in this Town .
On the suggestion of the Town accountant , the Board voted
to authorize the Town Treasurer to borrow $75 ,000 in anticipation
of revenue , on note or notes of the town dated Dec . 18 , 1924 and
payable June 18 , 1925 .
The Board voted to take action by petitioning the County
Uommieeionere cont r ning the laying out and ertablirhing the
boundaries of certain etreetr as designated le letter from the
Planning board. The rtreetr are namely , Spring , ::fiddle , Shade
and r+estor. Streets .
.ix . Curtance recommended that Bedford Street from itr present
terminus ar a State Road to ;+arren Davir ' farm be made a State Road .
It rias voted to bfing this propor•ition before the County Com-
mire :.onerr eyprerring derire of the town to have it considered in
' 1925 .
Action on the acceptance of the lay-out of the llclntorh
property war portponed pendirg the completion of the topographical
survey.
