KEETING, AUGUST 26, 1924.
A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held
in the Selectmen'e Room, Town Hall, Lexington, on Tuesday,
August 26,1924, at 8 P. 3a. The following members of the Board
were present; namely,Leeers. Burnham, Cuetance, Files, Hutchinson
and "oulton were prevent. The Town Clerk and Supt. of Public
Rorke were also present.
Favorable action eras taken on application of Arley A:
Burgess of l Webb Street to keep for private use, not exceeding
500 gallons of gasoline. 1ermiceion was given.
The petition of Robert Ucrinaul to keep an underground
tank of 1000 gallons of gasoline at 643 Luse. -.venue, was refused
by the Board.
lur. Pratt of '+deet Somerville, appeared before the Board
in favor of a license being granted to Lillian J. Pratt to be a
Common Victualler at 'her premises on Spring Street.
He was requested to bring plane of proposed building
and pending such presentation, action on the application.wae tabled.
' ,ipplication from Ir. i1ii1liken of Borth Le,<:inRton to
unload manure, was refused.
It v^av the sentiment of the Board that no permit,an
requested by Raymond P. Dellinger, was needed. his application
was laid on the table for present.
The Sommittee getting money guarantees from abutters
of Carville Avenue in connection with the acceptance of the
street as a public way, came before the Board to report progress
and were instructed by the Board to take further time and get a
larger number of signers.
dilliam R. a. Eaton was appointed a Special Police
Officer for duty on property of the Lexington Trust Company.
George h. Gibson, Ohairman of the Board of .�seeeeors,
came before the Board stating that the assessors needed more money
for Clerk hire.
The Board felt that the matter should be referred to
the Appropriation. Committee.
