VETERANS DAY Mrs McGonagle reported on behalf of Mi s Litchfield that youth groups had been contacted; 4Iip Campfire Girls and the Girl Scouts will be represented, the Minute Men will come, and letters have been sent to the MIS Band and. trio National Guard. The Revd Ted R. Fetterson will represent the clergy. Mrs. McGonagle has written to Dr. S. P. LaServa, Hispital Dir- ector of the VA Hospital in Ledford to ask him to be speaker of the day. Mr. Gaughan has spoken with Commander Charles Thomann of the VFW; Mrs. Mitchell will tell Chmn. Barnes that our request for the VFW to provide a Chief Marshal and. Aides should be mailed to Commander Thomann There was discussion regarding an inclusion of the 411 horse club. Committee members agreed that the members helped make a more colorful parade; Mr. Brenchic'k, however, noted that there had been problems in the assembly area, It was agreed to discuss this invi- tation, an alternate assembly area, and our overall policy regarding mounted participants again next week. .LBC TCC The following matters need cooperative attention 1) LBC projected list of guests to be invited •= the TCC members present were concerned about the effects on following years. 2) The TCC would like a full list of LBC members: sub- committees, ub -committees, and planned sub-,committees. 3) Mr. Gaughan has custody of some very old flags.
