TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE `�

PRESENT Chmn. Barnes, Mr. Gaughan, Mrs. Litchfield, Mr. Brenchick,
Mr. Fitzgerald, Mr. Flynn
The committee met briefly at 7 00 PM before joining the LBC for the
usual monthly joint meeting; a summary of that discussion appears in
LBC minutes. In addition, Mr. Gaughan took notes of the MC dis-
cussion in Mrs. Mitchell's absenceF and noted that the following
points were covered
1. Minutes of previous meeting were approved by the
committee; names of the Chief Marshal and Chief of
Staff should not have been included.
2. Mr. Fitzgerald gave a report on communications for
19 April, 1975.
3. Correspondence was received from the Annunciators Junior
Corps of Cadets of Somerville, and from the Blue Angels
of Danvers, regarding participation in the 1975 parade
July 11, 1974
PRESENT Ghmn. Barnes, Mr. Gaughan, Mrs McGonagle, Mrs. Mitchell,
Mr. Fitzgerald, Mr. Flynn
MINUTES: The minutes of the joint TCC-LBC meeting of June 27, 1974,
were not available; however, Chmn. Barnes noted their approval of
the choice of 1975 Chief Marshal and Chief of Staff. Mr. Broderick
has accepted the appointment; Mr. Rooney has not been available.
PARADE ADVISORY COMMITTEE Chmn Barnes has spoken with Mr Cannin
regarding asking the PAC to assist in "re-divisionalizing" the 1975
parade Later in the meeting, the committee touched upon the problems
of parade pace and progress, noting that these would have to be con-
sidered as well as color in final parade organization. The chairman
also noted that it was his intention to attempt the formulation of a
preliminary parade roster around Labor Day.
COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION The committee spent the balance of the
meeting in discussion of the many aspects of the 1975 Patriots Day
activities with a view toward the best possible identification of
possible problem areas in order to make certain that all details are
being covered, either by committee members (with assistance of sub-
committees if necessary) , or by others. Chmn. Barnes reminded the
