St Theresa's Senior and Junior Drill Teams of Malden (both groups being regular
Lexington marchers) for parade participation again this year Mrs° Litchfield

LUNCHEON The committee again compared estimated costs of holding a catered
affair at Cary Hall with those to be expected at ,he Sheraton Motor Inn. Lexingw'
ton, It was agreed that the size of the 1974 guest lest would not require the
use of Cary Hall; urthermore, that the facility had been used for large affairs
in the past so that some caterers uere familiar with conditions there„ Costs
compared most favorably, t'ierefore, the committee agreed to hold the 1974 luncheon
at the Sheraton Motor Inn.
BICENTENNIAL THE committee discussed the LBC response to our request that the
TCC be authorized to contact the governors of the 13 original colonies in the
attempt to obtain marching units for the )975 parade— It was agreed that bands
and/or colorful marching units would be most desirable and that the TGG would
not solicit float entries„ Expenses would be borne by the invitees; the units
are meant to substitute for others which might be necessary to provide an inter
°sting parade but which would expect reimbursement of expenses, The TCC and
appropriate LBC subcommittees acting through Biro Terl i n,o office, could provide
information about accommodations and transportation arrangements so that invitees
could contact local firms directly° A May 3 1974 joint meeting will be requested°
China.° Barnes read the LBO letter of February 19, 1974 which delineates
projected TCC responsibilities and budget for 1975 to the committee°
