HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-06-04-DAC-min LEXINGTON DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE Minutes of Meeting of June 4, 2024 A meeting of the Design Advisory Committee(DAC)was held in the Parker Room in the Town Office Building at 7:30 pm on June 4,2024. Members Present: Tim Lee, Chris Johns,Ian Adamson, Steve Vincent,Hema Bhatt,Minhaj Kirmani,Danit Netzer,Nishanth Veeragandham,Elsie Xu Members Absent: Elisa Kim Others Present: The Committee reviewed,discussed and acted on the following item(s): 1.Introductions(cont.)—Each member introduced themselves to the Committee. 2.Amending our current charge- Charge amendments and how to go about changing it were discussed. Chair will draft a suggested revised charge to be reviewed and approved at our next meeting. 3.New Article 34 zoning change discussion -The committee reviewed and discussed five projects currently being reviewed by the planning board. 1. 89 Bedford St.—on the 6/5 PB hearing agenda 2. 231 Bedford St.—not yet schedule for a PB hearing 3. 5-7 Piper Rd. on the 6/26 PB hearing agenda 4. 28 Meriam St. —already approved 5. 32 Edgewater Rd.—already approved -The committee generally agreed that these project and future projects will have an aesthetic impact on the character of the Lexington community and would benefit from our committees input. The committee discussed how we could have input on the development of these projects.Initially it was agreed that members should attend the public hearings to gather more information and provide public comment input. -The committee also agreed that engaging both our Planning Board and Select Board liaisons for assistance and guidance would be a good idea. -Committee members were then assigned to follow a certain project or engage our liaisons. 4. Lexington Public High School Project -Members will attend the upcoming workshop and provide feedback to the committee at our next meeting.
