A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in
the Selectmen' s Room, Town hall , Lexington , on '. edneeday,
January 1E , 19E4 , at 9 50 P . la. The following memberr of the
Board were prerent namely , Leesrs . Seaman , Blake , Burnhad and
koulton, the Town Clerk was also prerent .
After consideration of the hearing on the discharge of
Andrew T . Bain , the Board voted not to sustain the chargee . The
Board also notified kr. Bain that they felt his work was done in
a proper manner and that they regretted to lore hie cervices
inasmnchan he declined to verve further under Superintendent Rope
or Superintendent Harrison.

kr . r,arrison had requested that the compiling of the Town
Report be turned over to the Town Clerk after he had started the
rale . The Board, however , informed him that he must finish the

After the notice ie rent out , the warrant ir wain returned
to the Tax Collect-r and after the ten days have expired, and any
water tax ir still remaining unpaid , the Tax Collector retLrnr
the warrant to the eater Department for final action en their
part , i e . turning off the water service .

owners rho neglect to pay their water charger . Let us follow

Under this Procedure , the collection of water rates will
be wholly in the hands of the lax collet or . No money ie
collected by the hater Department pertaining to -ester rater .
the above arrangement would seem to me to obviate the
dietressing conditions that now exirt.
At the next torn meeting an article will be in the Warrant ,
making water ratee a lien on .he real estate .
Suggerted that list be printed to correspond with the
water takers , with room for additional names , before April let .
and the above would be too cramped on voting liot.
The Board considered the :u1es and Regulations in regard
to the jitneys drawn up by the Town Counsel , but no definite
action war taken upon came.
Deeds of land at the corner of sorest and L:uzzey Streets
were received from Frederick L Lmery . The Board promised to
remove the hump that i:r. Lmery called to their attention in
1924 , and on that condition he turned the deeds over .
