Minutes for March 18, 2009
The minutes were approved as read.
The Treasurer's report was approved.
The purchase of 101/103 Massachusetts Avenue for $435,000 vas unanimously
approved. It will be examined by a structural engineer and it is expected
that the roof will need repairing and the windows replaced.
The motion to approve was made by Don, seconded by Gerry.
Att. Dan Hill is looking into Katandin Woods.
Steve Laferriere, Director of Housing Development at WATCH, Waltham Alliance
To Community Housing, came before the Board to explain their work. They put
their projects out for bid to private contractors. They charge $930 for
one bedrooms and $1100 for two bedrooms and pay for utilities. They started
in 1994 and have30 units.Gerry made a motions to ratify the cancellation
of the proposal to buyll Ross Road, because of an unclear title. It was
seconded by Don and so voted.
Busa Farm is still under discussion by the family.
Bill Kennedy has advertised on Craigs List for the Office Manager position,
and received about 35 replies, which he will review.
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 16.
