CORRESPONDENCE: Mr. Brenchick has had a letter from a local lad asking about possible participation' in the afternoon parade by a group of local unicycle enthusiasts. The TCC agreed that Mr. Brenchick should contact the young' man with the suggestion that some type of costuming and/or decoration for the vehicles might be appropriate; he will also mention the length ©f the parade route to determine whether.'' the potential riders had the skill necessary to appear in an organized parade. If these conditions can be met satisfactorily, the committee agreed that such participation was possible. POST PARADE RECEPTION:. Although the joint subcommittee has not met formally, Mr. G, ughan reported general agreement that the Minute Man school should be considered as first choice for the reception. He noted the letter from Mr. Tarlie regarding the availability of the Air Force Strolling Strings . Chinn. Barnes commented that a firm guest list was essential for planning Questions to be raised at the 'TCC-TIBC joint meeting; 1) Status of the guest list. 2) Who from the Lexington list is included in Concordes list? 3) Does the .TCC need to plan some type of gathering before the parade for those guests who are invited to Lexington only? 4) Gifts for guests - to be drdered by whom for whom-- to be presented at what time-.- cost per gift?? PARADE ORGANIZATION Chief Marshal Broderick displayed an updated chart of possible organization of the assembly area, declaring that he felt quite comfortable with the idea of handling 4000 marchers in this area, lie asked, however, that Park Drive be hold for the parade and noted that his plans did not include float assembly on the high school grounds. There was discussion concerning vehicle routing and parking, as well as of the problem of marcher- vehicle interference. Traffic directions from the 1974 Parade Orders were reviewed; further discussion of vehicle movement must be held with the police traffic officer and Mr Tarlin. The Chief Marshal also said that he felt that he must have both a pro- jected final parade roster and an alternative roster available, in case the units from Concord arrived late and had to be placed at the end of the line of march. No conclusions were made regarding the step off time (2.00 PM or 2:30 PM) however, all agreed that, whichever time is chosen a parade should step off on time.
