The second lottery was held, with numbers being drawn to establish the balance of the entering class for September of 1974 and the order of remaining appli- cants on the district standby list The Chairman read a note of thanks from Mary Aiphen for the flowers and many expressions of sympathy received from the committee at the time of Paul 's death Four committee members, whose terms expired this month, have been re-appointed by their respective Town Moderators Mmes Smith and Wales; Messrs Cron and Hall Nominations for Chairman for the coming year were opened Mr Heinrich nominated Mr Hall Nominations were closed by unanimous vote The committee voted unan- imously to have the Secretary cast one ballot for Mr Hall Mr Cron was nominated for Vice-Chairman Nominations were closed by unanimous vote. The committee voted unanimously to have the Secretary cast one ballot for Mr Cron The committee voted unanimously to re-appoint Mr Lombardo as Treasurer and Mrs Gilbert as Secretary for the coming year Mr Fitzgerald is now a member of the Building Committee Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as distributed The Treasurer reported a regular account balance of $45,610 10 and a construc- tion account balance of $11 ,448 99 i APR 19 1974 Minutes -2- April 2, 1974 The committee voted unanimously to transfer the sum of $360,614 01 earned on Certificates of Deposit (listed below) to the site and construction account CD 25307 $48,805 54 rf 25308 54,250 00 25309 59,694 44 25310 33,249 99 i. 26242 18,375 00 26653 23,660 00 27037 17,997 78 24430 14,742 19 I` 28582 13,635 41 NTD9198 17,147 57 NTD9747 9,172 92 NTD10118 10,908 33 26044 24,242 99 3507 14,731 83 $360,614 01 I' The committee voted unanimously to accept "Section 3 - Personnel Policies," effective July 1 , 1974, with the following corrections 3 2 5 Change to "vacation time may be used" 3 2 6 Transpose the second and third sentences 3 2 13 Change end of sentence to "make such closing appropriate " 3 4 2 Add "unless the School Committee, upon recommendation of the Superintendent-Director, determines that such membership is of particular benefit to the District 11 3 4 3 Delete the word "excused" before "time" in the first sentence 3 5 2 Add this item number and sentence "No staff member shall be required to transport students " i'. Mr Crafts, senior food trades instructor, gave a presentation on the culinary arts program The meeting was adjourned at 10 55 p mo , to be reconvened in executive session In executive session the committee voted unanimouslyto reclassify Y Robert Ganem from Director, Special Needs Program, to Senior Teacher, Special f Needs, with an increase in salary The committee voted unanimously to promote Patricia Mostue from Associate Teacher in Communications to Staff Teacher in j Communications, with an increase in salary The committee voted unanimously to re-hire staff at the salaries stated (List filed with minutes ) Minutes -3- April 2, 1974 The committee voted unanimously to pay the Assistant Superintendent at the annual rate of $22,000, effective July 1 , 1974, and to direct the Budget Review Subcommittee to review the salary range for the position of Assistant Superintendent and bring in a recommendation by May 1 Respectfully submitted, e Ann S Gilbert Secretary Approved 4/16/74
