VISITORS A former faculty member, representatives of the Parent 's Organiza
tion, representatives of the press, parents and students
The meeting was called to order at 8 25 p in
Mr Hayward reviewed the SPC area job descriptions and staffing
projections and illustrated functions and services performed by
the SPCs Ms Robitaille reported on counseling mainstream
students and Mr Purvis spoke on the problems of scheduling
Questions and discussions followed each of the presentations
Documents describing SPC function, and proposed job definitions
were presented and discussed; no action was taken
Dr Ric--iuti and Ms Smith spoke about teacher evaluations
Dr Ricciuti felt that teacher evaluations should he handled
by the administration Ms Smith said that she was working
with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to "evaluate 11
the evaluation process" but not making formal evaluations of E
individual teachers It was suggested that the Administration
complete the December evaluations and submit them to the School
Committee for review It was emphasized that classrooms (and
teachers) could be observed by any parent or School Committee
member, provided that the Administration is informed and such
visits do not interfere with planned programs
Mr Heinrich presented an additior to the Admissions policy
defining spec al needs applicants to be voted at the next meeting
Ms Wales asked that procedure revisions also be made at the next
School Committee meeting Dr Ricciuti was requested to put
these items on the Action agenda
Mr lannarelli and Mr Mayer, representatives of the Minuteman
Regional Faculty Federation expressed their concerns regarding
policy on extra-curricular activities and the badge reader By �f
consensus, the School Committee directed the Administration to
work with the staff to develop procedures to handle after school F°
activities , to re, few the use of the badge reader in relation to
security measures and to report back to the School Committee as
soon as possible

The following items were deferred because of the lateness of the hour
Approval to contract with a social worker, approval of personnel course
reimbursement and approval for Dr Ricciuti and Dr Resnick to represent
Minuteman and attend the American Vocational National Convention
It was MOVED by Ms Wales, SECONDED by Mr Zeoli and VOTED UNANIMOUSLY to
approve the appointment of Christine Stupik, Level 2 Secretary, starting
October 22, 1975 at an annual salary of $8300
It was MOVED by Ms Wales , SECONDED by Mr Hall and VOTED UNANIMOUSLY to
approve the Regular Minutes of October 7, 1975
The Treasurer reported that there was a balance in the Regular Budget Account
of $90,885 15 and a balance of $12,258 54 in the Site and Construction Account
It was MOVED by Mr Zeoli , SECONDED by Ms Wales and VOTED UNANIMOUSLY to
approve the substance of the Occupational Competence Grant Brochure presented
by Ms Beverly Lydiard
The meeting was adjourned at 12 20 a.m to be reconvened in executive session
