Peter Farmer(Lancaster) Laura Mornssette(Arlington) John Blyzinskyj (Weston) Ford Spalding(Dover) Don Rober(Carlisle) Others Present. Attorney Matthew Tobin, Superintendent Bouquillon(left at 7 15 pm),Elizabeth Rozan, Ernie Houle,Ron Marino,Kris Luoto(these staff left at 5 04 pm) I. OPEN SESSION. CALL TO ORDER The Chair called the meeting to order at 5 00 pm,noting to the Committee that if they notice any error in the Call to Order or motions,members have a responsibility to inform the Chair at the time of the event,whether in open or executive session She added that it is a collective responsibility as a Board to follow the complex posting and calling rules for open meetings,and to assist each other in ensuring that the wording and actions taken are correct She extended thanks to those who pay attention and assist in this process,and noted that playing"Gotcha"after the fact is not helpful and takes up Committee member time on issues that do not pertain to school improvement She noted that the meeting was called in short order,that there is much material to be discussed,and a number of people need to leave early due to other commitments The following vote was taken by roll call vote of the members present ACTION 2012#158 Moved (Stulin)and seconded(Hunter) To enter into Executive Session Part 1 For the purpose of following up on progress related to consideration of complaints or charges against a public officer, employee, staff member,or individual and developments related to such complaints or charges(Exemption#1 under the Open Meeting Law)and to comply with, or act under authonty of a Massachusetts General Law by reviewing and considering advice from counsel for the Distnct regarding the same(Exemption#7 under the Open Meeting Law The relevant citations are Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 268A, Section 23 (c)(2), Chapter 4, Section 7,clause twenty-sixth, Chapter 214, § 1B, Chapter 66, Section 10, Chapter 30A, Section 22 (f)) Part 2 For the purpose of considering a complaint pursuant to the Open Meeting Law made against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual(Exemption#1 under the Open Meeting Law) The following individuals are invited to remain for the executive session Liz Rozan,Ed Bouquillon,Attorney Matthew Tobin;the School Committee will not return to Open Session Castagno no Mahoney yes Hunter yes Manjarrez no Taschioglou yes Horton yes Flood yes Stulin yes DeLuca yes Vote: 7 in favor, 2 opposed,with 9 members present 2.
