SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING

1 CALL TO ORDER OPEN SESSION
The Chair called the meeting to order at 6 32 p m
2 APPROVAL OF ADOPTION OF REMOTE PARTICIPATION
VOTE Having adopted remote participation by all members of this School Committee
pursuant to and in accordance with Sections (2) and (3) of the Executive Order
Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law made by Governor Baker on
March 12, 2020, and pursuant to the Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, as amended most
recently by Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023 signed by Governor Healey allowing such
remote participation until March 31, 2025, any or all members of this School Committee
are permitted to participate in this meeting via remote participation

3 EXECUTIVE SESSION
VOTE To enter into Executive Session and return to Open Session with Kevin Mahoney and
Julia Pisegna attending
a) Pursuant to M G L c 300A, Section 21(a)(2)to conduct strategy sessions in preparation
for contract negotiations with nonunion personnel or to conduct collective bargaining
sessions or contract negotiations with nonunion personnel. the Interim
Supermtendent/Director

4 Return to Open Session
Committee members returned to Open Session at 7 35 p m
Mr Stulin read the following motion into the record.
Moved that we accept the draft Interim Superintendent contract with Kevin Mahoney with the
following changes to be made by legal counsel
1) The clanfying punctuation and word changes suggested by Ms Musto shall be incorporated
where legal counsel believes the changes make a substantive improvement in the document
clarity without changing its intent,
2) In Section 2,the first paragraph shall be replaced by the following language or any equivalent
language that counsel believes to be more appropriate For the period November 1, 2023, through
June 30, 2024, the Superintendent's salary shall be$164,400 The Superintendent's salary shall
be payable in equal installments during the period of his employment, at intervals consistent with
the normal payroll practices applicable to all employees of the Minuteman Regional Vocational
Technical School District,
3) In Section 5(c),the number of vacation days shall be 30,
4) In Section 7(a),the cell phone allowance shall be $100 per month, and
5) In Section 14,the time of notice shall be 90 days
Furthermore,the revised contract will not be considered approved unless it is verified to meet the intent
of this motion by the review of two School Committee members, namely Alice DeLuca and Charlene
Cabral
The verification will be complete when the reviewers email the Chair and Attorney McNulty that, in
their opinion, the revised contract substantively fulfills this motion At this time,the Chair will have
the finalized contract sent out to the membership for electronic signatures

Mr Stulin expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr Mahoney for serving as acting Supenntendent and
shared that he is delighted to offer this contract to him He also thanked the School Committee members
and subcommittees for their diligent work in this matter
