Petition for six street lights on Follen Road and one on
Summit Road was received from the residences of that section.
The Board acknowledged receipt of same and promised to
consider the matter.
Letter was received from the Massachusetts Emergency Fuel
Committee informing the Board that Frank "uu. Herrick former local
fuel adminatrator is unable to serve as such and requesting that
the Board suggest someone to take his place.
The Board suggested the name of George L. Gilmore.
Arthur R. Reading, candidate for District Attorney, was
granted a permit to hold open air rallies in the town.
It was voted to instruct the Chief of Police td clear the
poles in town of political notices and to keep them clear.
The Board signed the ' arrant for a Town Meeting to be held
September 19, 1922, also the Warrant for the Primary to be held
September 12, 1922.
Letter was received from Frank Dias, who is building a house
on Concord revenue, asking that the town pay one half the cost of
building a bridge over the ditch where he is to have a drive.
The Board replied that this was a private matter and that
they would not make any contribution.
Application for the position of Supt. of Public Yorks was
received from Galen A. Russell of 347 Mass. Ave. Lexington.
The Board had a consultation with Luayor Harrison of .Everett
with reference to the position of Superintendent of Public ;Yorks.
The Board requested Mr. Harrison to think the matter over
and present a definite proposition to them in regard to salary.
He promised to do so and to meet the Board the last of this weekv
to talk over matters again.
