there existed a fence between the store of Edgar W. Harrod and the
Adams School building. Mr. Harrod now complains that the fence
is down and the children go through onto his property. Mr. Blake
agreed to look into the matter and see whether or not a fence could
be erected which would be satisfactory to Mr. Harrod.
Mr. Cotton also reported that lies Caroline Harrington of

Water & Sewer Dept.
Mr. Patrick Flynn and lir . hellman came before the Board
relative to getting the water service . Mr. Flynn who is building
a new house on rattier Avenue asked to have an extension of about
180 feet of water pipe laid on Taft rivenue so that he could have
the water for use in building his cement house . The Board informed
him that they could not make any extension swing to the fact that
it is a private way, and that the only thing that could be done was
to have an article inserted in the next warrant for a Town Meeting.
Mr . Flynn thought that it was rather unfair to hold him up on his
house any longer, as he had been promised some time ago that a new
scheme would be tried whereby water could be Fiven to persons in
circumstances similar to this .
r. Burnham suggested that Mr. Beaudry tap in on the pipe
and lay some pipe across lots so that Mr . Flynn could get water
for use in building his house , the same to be used only until such
time as the Town decided to put the 180 feet extension on Taft
Avenue . I'hie was agreeable to ,ur. Flynn and he agreed to pay the
cost of labor of laying the pipe.

kr . Cotton suggested that the warrant for the Town Meet-
ing in which articles for laying water pipes could be inserted
could be sent out with the warrant for the primary, thereby
hurrying matters along somewhat.
Mr. hellman informed the Board that he had bought more
lots in that section and intended to build on the same and
requested that the Board extend the water pipes . The Board in-
formed him that they could do nothing until an article was in-
serted in the warrant and until the By-Laws of the Town had been
approved or disapproved by the District Attorney.
kr . Toye inquired of kr. Tenney as to where and how many
hydrants were to be placed on =butler and Uarville Avenues . It
was decided to write to the Chief of the 2ire Department so that
he could notify this department as to how many hydrants he con-
sidered necessary on these two streets .
