HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922-03-01m MEEETING, MARCH 1, 1922, Messrs. Scamman and Richards Present. The Board advertised for bids for the Stone Crusher, the same to be opened on March 1, 1922. The only bid received was from the Superintendent of Public Works of Stoneham, same being $75 for the set of scales. The President of the New England Road Machinery Co., Mr. Railsback, met with the Board and the following agreement was entered into. IlIn consideration of the agreement made today between the Selectmen of the Town of Lexington and the New England Road Machinery Company, whereby the Town of Lexington agrees to buy from the said Road Machinery Co. within the next six months goods to the amount of $1500. the New England Road Machinery Company agrees to purchase the entire plant of the Stone Crusher, located on Waltham Street in Lexington, with the exception of the motor, set of platform ecalee and all the woodwork connected with the crusher, for the sum of $900. The Road Machinery Company agrees to remove all the material ' included in this agreement before the first of April, 1922, and to credit to the Town of Lexington the amount of $900 on the purchase price of whatever goods are delivered to the Town under this &&raiment.".
