The resignations of Mrs. A. 0. Whitney and Mrs. William W.

Overseers of the Poor were accepted with regret.
Miss Alice Newell and Mrs. Jay 0. Richards were appointed
to fill the vacancies.
Letter was received from the :secretary of the Girl Scouts
Council in which they thanked the Board for the use of the hall
for rehearsals and drill of their Bugle and Drum Corps.
It was reported to the Board by the Edison Elec. Ill. Co.
that a credit would be allowed for street lights on the Nov.
and Dec. bill on account of the ice storm.
Letter was written to the Metropolitan District Commission
asking whether or not Lexington would be entitled to any part of
the $50,000 appropriation for clearing metropolitan parks that
was authorized by special act of the Legislature.
Notice was received from the Department of Public Works
Division of Highways stating that a hearing would be given at
the State House on Thursday, Feb. 23, 1922 at 9:30 A. M. for the
purpose of hearing all parties interested in the maintenance of
advertising signs.
