MEETILG, JAN. 3 , 1922 .
All Members Fresent.
The Records of the last meeting were read and approved .
Osborne J . Gorman was appointed Local Superintendent of the
Moth Department , also Forest iarden, both appointments being
subject to the approval of the State Forester .
The Board voted to grant an Agent' s License, Class I to
Calvin W. Childs , of 99 Mass . Ave
Letter was received from hr. Alexander G . Strong of
5092 Townsend St. Syracuse , New York, in which he requested the
installation of water mains in Moreland Avenue , off kern St.
The Board informed him that inasmuch as there was a vOte
of the town prohibiting the installation of water mains or any
public utilities at the expense of the town, in private ways
the Board could not do any triing for him.
Homer Thurlow Felson of 46 Parker St, to whom a public
carriage license was granted to on Kov. 30, 1921 , not having
filed a bond, the Board voted to cancel said license .
Letter was written to the free arden in which he was
requested to continue the work of trimming trees destroyed by
the recent storm. He was also erequested to reduce the rate
per day paid to the men on nis department so that the same
would conform with the rate paid the employees of the Moth Dept.
namely , $4 .50 for foreman and $4 .25 for climbers.
Letter was written to the Park Commiesioners requesting
permission from that department in writing for the use of the
pumping station building and land with the exception of the
nursery.
Receipt was received from the Lexington Historical
Society for the following
1 . Acts of Congress , beginning let seesion of the 6th
Congress in 1799 and up to the 29th session of Congress not
complete .
2 . Commonwealth of Lass . Acts and Resolves from 1784 to
1827 not complete .
3 . 9 pamphlets of Pauper Laws 1833 to 1849 .
4 . Some odd volumes of U. B . Laws , Reports of Mass . Legis-
lature , Re 'orts of Congressional L%ommittees , etc . 1808 - 1841 .

It was voted to instruct the Town Engineer to abate the
charge for building gravel sidewalk along the property of the
Lexington building Truet on Bedford 5t.
The suggest-on made at last weeks meeting in regard to
renting the Town Farm to kr. r,aton was again talked over .
It was left with Mr. Cotton to draw up an agreement
as of Jan. 1st , 1922.
The Board decided to meet Sunday morning to take an
inventory of the Almshouse and Highway property.
