Bids on the Town Reports were requested from the following companies: Medford Mercury idedford, Mace. Alpine Press 32 Oliver St.Boston. F.E. Bacon & Co. 255 Atlantic Ave. It Machine Composition Co. 138 Pearl St. � Melrose Free Press, Inc. Melrose, Maes. Estabrook Press. 196 Broadway, Cambridge Star Printing Co. Tremont Bldg. Boston. Wor.1men's Compensation and Employer's Liability Policy #210248 issued through the office of the Maryland Casualty Co. turas approved by the Board. Contractor's public policy issued through the same company being #50387 was also approved. These policies are both for the Moth Department. Letter was received from Edward 17. Kimball, Pres. of the Buckman. The Town Engineer was authorized to.purchase a camera same to be a part of his office equipment for the use of the Town. Letter was received from W. C. Stickel in reply to the letter of the Board relative to prospective gas consumers on Bedford St. in which he stated that when business conditions im- prove the number of customers will be increased. It was left with Mr. Scarman to report on application for advertising sign on the property of Alfred Short on 'Waltham St. Mr. Guy L', Ordway not having paid the $15 charged against his name for care of his wife in time given him it was decided to turn the matter over to the Town Counsel for collection. Mr. Richards reported that he ordered a plumber to shut ' off the water at the vacant tenement of the Bacon Estate and that as a result of this having to be done a new shut off had to be installed. A quotation of $800 on a dump body, Ford ton truck complete and mounted, was received from Calvin W. Childs. 52 ,7 cn It was decided to consider this matter in connection with the annual appropriation for the Highway Dept. in March. The Board gave the accountant authority to abate the ' rent charged against the Chapin family and also against G. G. Taylor. The reason for abatement is that the sums were un - collectable. Mr. 71;m. Roger Greeley came before the Board with reference to establishing building lines on Blass. Ave. for a beginning. He suggested that a twenty foot set back be established from Clarke St. to Cedar St. In this connection he euggebted-that Mr. Cotton and Mr. Wadsworth of the Planning Board draw up a paper "in consideration of the tmatual advantages to be given". Mr. Cotton agreed to meet with Mr.'iadeworth and draw up such a paper as was suggested. Mr. Greeley also called attention to the fact that the population of the Town in the eection of Waltham Street was growing so fast that in five years time a new schoolhouse would be needed in that section. He stated that the Planning Board had a site in view just beyond Blossom St. which would be half way between the section benefited. He stated that he thought it would be good business for the Town to buy sufficient land there at the present time when it eculd be bought for about $900 instead of waiting until five years from now at which time it might cost $280009 and the land could be rented each year , to a farmer in that section for the taxes. Mr. Greeley stated that he had taken the matter up with the School Committee and they approved the location proposed but he had not received anything definite from them. Mr. Greeley stated that he approved the plane for changing over the Railroad Station "as to design". Matters in general in connection :':ith the railroad stat- ion and park plot were considered.
