It was decided to consider this matter in connection with
the annual appropriation for the Highway Dept. in March.
The Board gave the accountant authority to abate the '
rent charged against the Chapin family and also against G. G.
Taylor. The reason for abatement is that the sums were un -
collectable.
Mr. 71;m. Roger Greeley came before the Board with reference
to establishing building lines on Blass. Ave. for a beginning.
He suggested that a twenty foot set back be established from
Clarke St. to Cedar St. In this connection he euggebted-that
Mr. Cotton and Mr. Wadsworth of the Planning Board draw up a
paper "in consideration of the tmatual advantages to be given".
Mr. Cotton agreed to meet with Mr.'iadeworth and draw up
such a paper as was suggested.
Mr. Greeley also called attention to the fact that the
population of the Town in the eection of Waltham Street was
growing so fast that in five years time a new schoolhouse would
be needed in that section. He stated that the Planning Board
had a site in view just beyond Blossom St. which would be half
way between the section benefited. He stated that he thought
it would be good business for the Town to buy sufficient land
there at the present time when it eculd be bought for about
$900 instead of waiting until five years from now at which time
it might cost $280009 and the land could be rented each year ,
to a farmer in that section for the taxes. Mr. Greeley stated
that he had taken the matter up with the School Committee and
they approved the location proposed but he had not received
anything definite from them.
