HomeMy WebLinkAbout1921-11-29-BOS-min50 MEETING, NOV. 299 1921. All Members Present. The records of the last meeting were read and approved. Letter was received from the Lexington Gas Co. in which they thanked the Board for the interest taken concerning the number of customers on Bedford Sto and stating that they would appreciate any effort which the Board might make to increase the number. Letter was also received from the Lexington Gas Co. in which they thanked the Board for giving them permission to make an extension of gas piping in the basement of the Town Hall. It was voted to grant Homer T. Nelson of 46 Parker Street a public carriage license upon receipt of a satisfactory bond. Letter was received from Custance Bros, requesting that the elec-tric light pole near jhirley Street be removed to the corner of Shirley and Bedford Ste as the wires now cross the I property where they are building a hdDuse. The Board directed the Clerk to write the Edison Co. requesting them to make this change. Notice was received from the Dept. of Public Works, Division of Hip waye of an application for an advertising sign to be located 22miles from Waltham on property of Alfred Short. Waltham St. Return of the State Aid for the month of November was signed by the Board. The Board drew a Warrant for a town meeting to be held Dec. 9. 1921. Letter was received from Harry good complaining of the condition of Lowell St. from Woburn St. to the Burlington line. The Chairman replied to the letter informing tlr. vfood that inasmuch as he traveled over this road from two to four times daily.that he should drive carefully enough to avoid any damage to his car and that he should be well aware of Ithe poor condition of this street. He informed him that the Town did not assume any responsibility in the matter. A true record, Attest: ' CLERK.
