HomeMy WebLinkAbout1921-07-25-BOS-min1 1 MEETING, JULY 25 , 1921. All Members Present. The records of the last meeting were read and approved. Permission was granted to the Lexington Gas Company to excavate on Bedford Street from Elm Avenue to the Railroad Crossing at North Lexington for the purpose of installing a gas main, the location of the same to be designated by the town engineer. The responsibility of resurfacing the street was eliminated. Nilliam H. Ballard was authorized to renew two policies of $10.000 each on blanket form same being policies #65392 and #41045. B. I. Brown & Sons were authorized to renew policy #65397 for $5000 and $44269 for $10400 on blanket policy. In regard to the rent of the Bacon Property near the High School, it was deciddd to find out just how much rent was due the Town by the Chapin and Webster families who occupy the houses on that property. A #arrant for a Town Meeting to be held on August 4, 1921 was signed by the Board. The Town Engineer was instructed to have a sketch ready for the next meeting showing the path on the property of Nora Leary and lire. Timothy Leary leading to the Munroe property. This path has been in existence for about sixty years and has been stopped up by the Leary family but the Munroe's claim the same is a right of way. The condition of the Hayes Fountain was brought up and It was decided to write the Park Commissioners requesting them, if the care of the fountain was under their juris- diction. to have the same kept in proper condition, and if not under their jurisdiction to notify the Selectmen and they would have the same taken care of. The Jury List was revised and sufficient names were added to make the list total 65. A true record, Attest: CLERK. M
