HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-10-27-2020-minTown of Lexington 20/20 Vision Committee Meeting October 27, 2017 Parker Room, Town Office Building 1625 Massachusetts Avenue — 7:45am — 9:00 am Members Present: Peter Enrich, Fernando Quezada, Alan Wrigley, Dan Krupka, Andrew Dixon, Joe Pato, Margaret Coppe, Kathleen Lenihan, Mark Manassas Members Absent: Ginna Johnson, Bhumip Khasnabish Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 7:45 a.m. The minutes for the previous meeting and joint meeting in September were approved. The committee talked about sending a copy to the Board of Selectmen, Planning Committee, and School Committee. • They wanted to verify if there were copies sent to the participating committees The committee also wanted to have the report available on the 20/20 Town webpage, Town website, and distribute a link to the LexMedia presentation to the other committees. Fernando will distribute this information to the participating committees • Rajon will assist Fernando in getting the email addresses for the secretary and chair positions for each committee The committee discussed dissemination of the Town -Wide Survey Report. • The committee discussed who should be the next group to present the findings of the report to. • Presenting the information to the League of Women Voters The next issue addressed was concerns that could stem from the report • Homogeny in age group o Income o Ethnicity • Demographic Trends o Analyzing these trends • Traffic Concerns for High Traffic Areas o Hartwell o Hanscomb The topic was about E -Governance • Where to advertise the information o 20/20 Webpage o Town website The committee also discussed next steps for proceeding with the report • Shaping communication o Obtaining feedback from the Town o Getting the information to the citizens o Scoping of changing demographics as they pertain to the report The next meeting date was also decided as well — December 8th No meeting will be held in November Meeting ended at 9:00 a.m.
