Priorities for reserving space at the Community Center have been established on keeping
with the Center's purpose,mission and guiding principles. The Lexington Community Center
is a Town owned facility and is therefore the property of the citizens of Lexington. Although
the priority use of the building is for Town sponsored programs,the Town encourages the
use of the facility by responsible community organizations and others when space is
available.
It is the policy of the Town to charge a fee for some building uses to cover a portion of the
staffing,replacement supplies,and operating expenses during community use of the facility.
Priority 1
Town sponsored programs,meetings and events that are sponsored or co-sponsored by the
Recreation and Community Programs Department,Human Services Department,and other
Town departments,boards and committees that are not charging a fee for the program or
activity at the Community Center.
Priority 2
Lexington-based 501c(3)or non-profit charitable organizations that serve the Lexington
Community primarily,do not charge a fee for the program being held at the Community
Center,and are open to the public.
Priority 3
501c(3)non-profit charitable groups not directly associated with the Town that serve some
members of the Lexington community but also the wider region.
Priority 4
All other persons,groups,individuals or entities that do not fall under the definition of
priorities 1,2 or 3.

for commercial purposes,for the solicitation or development of business,or for profit
