The Committee shall conduct inquiries with various agencies and departments of the Town who have land use responsibilities to determine appropriate revisions to the Zoning By-laws mandated or permitted by Chapter 808, which shall further the objectives of such town agencies and departments and shall make its re immendations to the Planning Board 2 The Committee shall inquire of individual interested citizens and non-official citizen's grou,,s, organizations and associations to determine appropriate and desirable revisions of the Zoning by-laws permitted by Chapter 808 and shall make its recommendations to the Planning Board 3 The Committee shall coordinate its efforts with the Citizen's Subcommittee on the Central Business District insofar as seems to be appropriate and practicable. 4 The Committee shall publicize its meetings by keeping the press informed of its discussions and agenda, by informing the press in advance of its meeting sched- ule. Posting in accordance with the "Open Meeting Law" by itself in general will not be adequate 5 While the Committee is not required to observe the following order of priori- ties, this list of priorities reflects current thinking of the Planning Board 1 Revisions mandated by Chapter 808; 2 Revision of Section 25 of the Zoning By-law, including a determination of the appropriate agencies to grant special permits for the various uses thereunder, in the light of the Planning Board's policy to abol ;h use variances and in the light of any existing problems 3 Review of Zoning Articles referred to the Planning Board at the 1977 Town Meeting in regard to matters not previously raised 4 Permitted changes desired by town agencies and departments; 5 Clarification of ambiguities in the existing by-law; 6 Changes to deal with recurrifg problems as perceived by Lexington citizens; 7 Zoning for the Central Business District and adjacent neighb+ -hoods, 6 The Committee may conduct its work by sub-committees which shall observe the requirements of Paragraph 4 7 The Committee shall report its recommendations to the Planning Board from time to time however definitive recommendation on priority items 1, 2 and 3 are required by 5 July MAY 1 8 77aM 1112,,,;1 10, � %2 ry.. . 3 5 9 77 ,4 RECEIVED TOWN CLERK LEXINGTON Masq
