Agenda Review and Approval of May 2, 2016 minutes
Update on Site Council Membership 2016-2017
Teacher membership for next year will include special educator

Susan Campbell who will continue in her role; 4 grade teacher Lisa
Contre and librarian Brenda Rich who will join.
Parents Curt Barrentine, Lance Conrad, and Rachel Harrington, will
continue as will community member, Jane Kalinski.
School Improvement Plan 2016-2017
Four components of SIP: academic, prosocial, safety and
facilities. The new building project is a major change in the facilities
goal

On June 7 each school was asked to highlight an
aspect of the SIP that was effective. On behalf of Hastings, Louise
discussed the impact that coaching has had on teaching and learning
at Hastings; literacy and math coaches partnering with teachers across all
grade levels; voluntary peer observations both at Hastings and at schools
across the district.
Update on Hastings building project MSBA
We are currently in the eligibility phase. Patrick Goddard,
Director of Public Facilities, and Mary Czajkowski,
Superintendent presented at May 25th MSBA meeting.
Their presentation was based on enrollment -- important
reason for new 30 classroom school is understanding the
growth in number of students in Lexington. The next
phase will be feasibility phase.
Update on student assignment process
Louise shared the maps explaining the plan will likely be that
Hastings will be welcoming students from Bowman,
Harrington and Bridge neighborhoods and some students
will move from Hastings to Estabrook.
